Some folks probably found swinging a leg over the compact 18" Carbon Fold 1 a bit of a stretch, despite its 550mm standover height. (Quick tip: if that’s you, just lean the bike to the side while holding the bars, step over, and pop it back upright...). But Urtopia saw the need and reacted fast, dropping a much more accessible version: the Step-Thru.
This ST variant keeps all the smarts of the original but adds essential ergonomics without sacrificing that featherweight feel.
The headline feature is still the material: a Toray® carbon fiber frame and fork, keeping the net weight down to a breezy ~14 kg (31 lbs). The Step-Thru design means ultra-low clearance, opening it up to a much wider range of riders. It’s hitting the streets in Glacier Blue and Crème.
Under the hood, the specs mirror the Fold 1:
Torque sensor for that natural, zero-latency assist.
500W hub motor (peaking with 42 Nm of torque).
Removable 252 Wh seatpost battery, good for up to 80 km (approx. 50 miles) of range.
The Carbon Fold ST holds onto the brand’s signature tech integration (voice control, built-in AirTag mount, integrated taillights) and sticks with reliable components like TEKTRO hydraulic disc brakes and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain.
